BJ Shea

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts on a cold and fateful night in September (yes, I am an anal-retentive Virgo). I was actually adopted when I was 18 months old, and all I knew about my origins was that my bio mom’s name was Shirley and my bio dad’s last name was Jones. So for years I thought my real mom drove a multicolored bus singing “I think I love You” with David Cassidy and Danny Bonaduce (RIM SHOT).

I have a wife (Kathy) and 2 kids (Joey & Sara) I’ve worked in radio for 20 plus years in many, many formats (I’ve gone by the names “Bobby J. Shea;” and “Bob Ravenous”).

I am a proud sci-fi, baseball loving, epicurean geek. My favorite music is by “Collective Soul” (my intro music is titled “Heavy” from their “Dosage” CD), Michale Franti & Spearhead, The Strokes, All American Rejects, Simple Plan, Pearl Jam, Third Eye Blind & yes, I can’t lie… I do like that Avril Lavigne. Some of my favorite movies are Star Trek (JJ Abrams version), Distric 9, The Hanogover, Watchmen, The Goods, V for Vendetta, I love You Man, Dark Knight, Zack & Miri, Idiocracy, Rounders, Drag Me to Hell, Spider-Man 1 & 2, The Big Lebowski, Sex Drive, The Evil Dead trilogy, Hot Rod, The Matrix trilogy, Fight Club, Choke, anything Star Wars and Harry Potter. My favorite TV shows are Doctor Who, Entourage, Hung, Mad Men, Californication, Dexter, Mad Men, Heroes, Weeds, Family Guy, Lost, 24, The Daily Show, Dollhouse, The Office, Rescue Me, and Flight of the Concords.

My favorite activities (besides sex) include dining, sporting events (love my baseball), plays, shows and events. Once in a while I like hiking and hanging with nature. I am huge believer in personal empowerment, and it is my opinion that honesty and truth are the means to that end. I’m an H-hole, and proud of it!”
